- To make students understand the diversity of life, interrelationship of organisms and their relationship with the environment.
- To make students understand man as living organism and his place in nature.

- To develop students' skills and attitudes for biological investigation and communication.
- To develop students' ability to retrieve and integrate appropriate information from different sources (e.g. newspaper, reference books, Internet, CD-ROM etc.) and to develop their confidence in self learning and to give them a sense of achievement.

Senior Forms

- To develop students' appreciation of the importance of experimental and investigatory work in the study of biology.
